Netbook Reflection 2013

How has having a Netbook connected to the internet helped my learning this year? I have learned from my teacher how to make a collage using an app called Fotor.com I have learned how to make a better blog comment on other peoples blog. The important thing that I have learned from a friend is how to bookmark our class site so I can go straight onto my work. I have learned how to show manners from my parents. I have helped a friend by helping her with her analogue time activity. My Netbook has helped me alot with my learning, it has helped me to be able to post things on my blog of things that I learnt and that other people who view my blog can learn things off my blog.

Xtra Math

Today I practised my division using xtramath. I think I did well, I need to keep trying and practising my division. I'm getting there i'm almost finish with my division.

C3 school party at P.B.S

C3 school party at P.B.S

On Saturday the 9th of November from 11 to 1:30, at Panmure Bridge school there was a huge party sponsored by the C3 church. There were lots of performances , chatter, eating and most of all laughter.  Everyone looked like they enjoyed the party. There was lots of FREE!! food and girly things. There were Pro wrestlers.Mr Wimpy, candyfloss, popcorn, pamper room bouncy castles and families from Panmure Bridge school. The reason why they had this party was that their principle wanted the children to have a fun and awesome day. “this party is so awesome because everything is free”  said a student from Panmure Bridge school. Last but not least there were prizes handed out for the childrens fantastic dance moves. It’s good to know that the children had fun.

Our trip to the Tamaki River

Yesterday on the 5th of november the whole senior school went on a trip to the Tamaki River.
Every one gathered up . Off we went to the Panmure basin. You could hear everyone enjoying their walk except me. I was really tired even though we just started walking. After that we set off to the Pakuranga Rotary Walkway. My legs were so sore I could bearly move my feet. The walk was like almost an hour. Everyones hat went flying evryone moaned and groaned. We past alot of interesting stuff. That was generally a cool trip.

Tamaki Area

The Tamaki are goes from PT to Mt Wellington down to Panmure along Tamaki River.


I have lived here since I was 3 years old. It has been 8 years that's how long I have been living in the Tamaki Area. 

My narrative introduction

As I slowly walked over to Mr Munchkin's house, my heart started to pound, “BOOM BA BOOM”Mr Munchkin’s dog is snoring so loud it makes my legs shiver every time I take a step.1 step, 2 steps, DOINK, I trip over a small tiny stone. But just to let you know, just with a little tiny move or sound from a distance of 2 metres, Mr Munchkin’s dog will wake up.As soon as he gets up, with a shock he starts grinding his teeth. I’m about to faint but I don’t want my body to be eaten by the fearest and scariest dog in the whole entire world. I get up so fast with hope.

I think I did really well on my narrative introduction because it has a very good hook and I have given a hint about my problem.

Lost at Mako

LOST AT MAKO ISLAND!!

It was a beautiful Saturday morning at Mission Bay Beach. I was really excited as I aimed straight for the sea, I jumped in like I've never been in water before. While i’m in the water I see birds flying high in the sky, my family playing with the sand and the sea shells, everyone is happy. After awhile I was a bit tired from playing in the water. So I just layed down like a starfish closed my eyes and just relaxed.

All of a sudden I hear this hush noise I got up, the hush noise was from the sea water. I was so shocked, I started to panic. I was screaming for help several times, “HELP” HELP” but no reply no one could hear me nor see me. There I started to freak out and while I was freaking out I could feel the tears running down my face like a tap. The hush and strong water has pushed me to an island, It was like another world that i've never seen before.

It was amazing. Straight away I said to myself I need to find a way to get back to Mission Bay. So I decided to search this island. I got out of the water with cuts and bruises. I see this volcano that didn’t look like one, there was some rocks beautiful rocks I decided to follow the beautiful rocks and there it lead me to a cave that was leaded to a volcano.

As I roamed inside the Volcano I didn't know what to do. In just 5 minutes of roaming I see this flashy, shiny light hitting me with the hotness.

The light was so bright it convinced me to follow it. So I followed. It looked like it was leading me to a doorway made out of rock. I opened the rock door with shock. I see this round gorgeous circle, the gorgeous circle was the beginning of the light. As I stepped slowly towards the gorgeous circle, I touched the gorgeous circle, but just before you know it I fell through this hole in the ground. I had hit my head before I fell. Just then when I fell all I could see what nice clear blue water it was almost like a little blue pool. But before I could see exactly where I had Fallen I had been transferred  back to Mission Bay beach.

I was so shocked, I said to myself “What just happened, How did this happened”. I was just Speechless!!, my mouth was just empty no more words were to be said. But at the same time I was happy. So happy to see my family again. Unfortunately they were not at that spot where we were having a family picnic, so i searched all over for them but I couldn’t find them. So I walked all the way home. As soon as I reached our number of our house I slowly walked towards the front door. I was walking like a zombie, almost like the Walking Dead. I kicked the door wide open, there my family were sitting down watching movies on sky and having a giggle, I was so mad. I headed straight for my bedroom. I fell straight on my bed with a sore body. I headed straight to sleep. As I drifted off to sleep I was dreaming about what might of happen to me. suddenly when I wake up I couldn't feel my legs, I looked  down…… AAAAAARRRRRHHHH!!!!!! I freaked out. I.. I.. I..  Had a tail. A nice blue toned tail.

I was amazed and shocked at the same time. I didn’t know what to do. I went back to sleep hoping that this was a dream. I woke back up,I looked down my tail had disappeared. YES!!

“its just a dream” “its just a dream” I started singing several times…..

My fun as holoiday

On Saturday I slept over my cousins house. When I arrived at my cousins house I was so happy so see them because I haven't seen them in ages plus they moved houses. 

As soon as I walked inside everyone was running up to me saying "long time no see" and I said I know.After awhile my auntie told me to go out side and play with the rest of the famz. So I did. We played or sorts of family games. My best game that I enjoyed was when we played hide and seek. The weather was so hot I was about to melt. Next we all went back inside. We also watched movies. After like 2 hours of watching movies we had lots of treats. I had so much fun.

Going to the Movies

on October the 2nd my friends and I went to the movies. We went to watch the Smurfs 2. It was so cool. When we arrived at Sylvia Park we went for a wonder around before it was time to go to the cinemas. When it was time to go to the cinemas all of the girls were so excited. I went with Savannah, Caitlin and Mengchun. The movies was so cool. The best part of the movies was when it came to the end, all the Smurfs returned back home safely. The part that I disliked was when Gargamel took Smurfette away from the Smurfs Village. We also had free ice blocks.

Lunch Time

Today for lunch my cousins and I had KFC. It was so nice, I am already enjoying my holiday, thanks to my lovely cuzzy Nazz.

Rock Types

Time Capsules

Today in the afternoon I read this article called Time Capsules. I thought it was a very interesting book because it had lots of information. This article is about the volcano erupting in Pompeii which is in Italy 200 years ago. I learnt that when lava and ashes fall on you you turn into hard mud stone. When lava and ashes fall on you and you turn into hard mud stone the way you can cut through is and see you body is that you drill a hole in the middle and you put plaster into it and that makes the hard mud stone melt. I think that this article is is great because it is really telling detail and information about lava, ashes and volcanoes.

A river is a huge stream of water flowing into the ocean, lake, or other body of water for example waikato river.

My day at Point England reserve

on Wednesday the 4th of September the rugby boys and rippa rugby girls went to point England reserve to play. As soon as we got there the rugby boys had a game, the rippa rugby girls had a game straight after. The rippa rugby girls versed point England. We had a fun as game. Fine was so cool she scored all our tries, the score was 3 all. After that we had morning tea. Soon we were called to play another school. We versed Bailey road school. unfortunately we lost 1 to 5.

Flying Through Lunch

This evening, angel tried out for the rugby team at school. angel worked very hard,jumping every morning and hopping every day after school. She was sure to be a shoe-in!

That was what we all thought until this afternoon at lunch. angel was carrying her lunch tray filled with donut, bread, and drink. She walked over to sit with the captain of the team, fine. Suddenly, angel got a terrible itch on her ears. She tried to scratch it, but instead she tripped over a(n) 4square and sent the lunch tray flying across the cafeteria, where it landed on fine's book and made a complete mess!

angel was so embarrassed. She was sure she would never make the team. What she didn't know was that a similar story happened to fine when she was trying out for the team. fine accidentally threw mcdonalds all over the coach.

At try outs this evening, angel did great and fine personally congratulated her on becoming the newest member of the team.

Here is my scale drawing. I chose an image that looked quite nice. I used a scale factor of 2, I enlarged my image on a grid. I had to draw my image square by square. 

I am proud of my scale drawing because it looks very colourful and it looks exactly like the smaller image.

My Mad Lib story

Yuppies are also called umbrella bloomers. They were born after World War six brown horses. You can identify them by their lumpy hair, pitched skirts, and stupidly messy shoes. They are run-aholics, make lots of money, and have short taste. They dine at the most soft restaurants, eat fresh bathtub (formerly known as spaghetti), and always order mineral 4 pink pigs. They all sport glasses, even if they have ugly vision. They know a little about everything, and so tend to have slim taste. Yuppies are really just hippies that have decided it was better to make cats, not dogs.

MY day at the Mcdonalds

My day at the Mcdonalds

It struck 12:00. My brothers and I were hungry. We thought about having Mcdonalds, we asked dad and he gave us some money to buy some Mcdonalds. Once we received the money we went out the door.

While we were walking it was HOT. Also we started to get tired. My legs were so sour that I couldn’t even take one more step. But my brothers said “hurry up I want to eat” so I continued walking. We finally arrived at the Mcdonalds.

When we entered the entrance we could smell the nice juicy Patties and the wonderful melted Cheese.

But when we entered, the room was PACKED! It was so packed that it made me angry. The reason why I was angry was that you could just see everyone else receiving their food and munching on it. We were all the way at the end of the line.

The line went smaller and smaller and finally we got to order our food. We were so happy because we finally got to order and receive our food.

As soon as we received our food we were like hungry pigs. After that we settled down with a nice cold Ice cream and made our way home.

That was the best day ever.

My Wacky Tale

My Cool Grandparents

My grandparents just came to visit me and my family. They do different things for fun than kids do. I like to hang out with my friends at Mcdonalds, but my grandparents like to walk at Mcdonalds. Do anyone else's grandparents like to do that?

Both of my grandparents are really cool. They like to wear jumpers that look just like something Selena Gomez would wear. We talk about the latest movies, music, and TV shows. I really like Lord Of The Rings, and my grandma said she does too. Her favorite actress is Megan Fox! I can't believe how cool my grandma is!

And my grandpa is just as cool. We talk about Skabby jams all the time! He knows all their music. He even owns Hey. He said that the next time Skabby jams come toAuckland for a concert, he'll take me! I can hardly wait. He'll be the coolest grandpa at theSkabby jams concert, and I'll be so happy to be there with him.

I fell asleep yesterday listening to an old album that my mom had. I really enjoyed it, though I had a weird dream. It was kind of like one of the old songs.

Swimming

For swimming my group have been learning how to swim using a stream line. A stream line is when you put your hands up and your hand on top of the other and it looks like your stretching your arms. Here Alazay,Joshua,Sebastian,Tai and I are doing a stream line. It looks quite hard but when you try it it's easy. We also have been learning how to roll our head and arms while we swim. It was quite hard when I did it for my first time but at the end I learnt how to do it. I have had lots of fun during our swimming time.

Today for maths my teacher told us to go onto one of the maths activity and I chose this activity. They gave me some multiplications to answer and I got 100 questions right. 

Apple Catch Game

Today My teacher set us a spelling game called the Apple Catch game. What you do is watch the apples come down but if it rhymes with the word they give you ,you quickly run to it and catch it. It's a little bit hard. I finished all the levels and I got this certificate.

The Duffy Show

Yesterday afternoon the Duffy show people came to our school to perform. Their performance was about Duffy loses his words. I all started when Duffy was looking for Scruffy his little brother to read to him about Duffy's adventures. Finally they found each other. Duffy  Started reading Scruffy the story. From then the show began. Their performance was awesome and I cant wait for next year to see them again.

Our Trip to the Howick Historical Village

Yesterday the whole senior block went to the Howick Historical Village.

My best part was when my team and I went for a tour round the village. The houses were very old houses and the objects in the houses were unusual. The part I thought was extremely scary was when we went to school but did things the way the kids did thing back then. The teacher was very strict. After awhile the teacher told us that we had to write what was on the board on our  slate  boards using our right hand only. It said Perseverance over comes difficulties. We had to write that but it had to be exactly how it was written on the board. All the letters were linked together non stop it was very hard but I tried my best. 

I really enjoyed being at the Howick Historical Village.

My Future classroom

In my classroom I have made a game room where kids can go and play games when they have completed there work. I think that having a game room is a good idea because the children would want to go into the game room but they would have to finish off their work, so the faster they finish their work they can go into the game room. Next to the game room is a music room where kids can go and practice their music. I have also made a room for teacher aids to come and read with the students. I have made a room just above the teacher aids room, room is for when parents come over for parent meetings they can just go into the meeting room.

My Speech Reflection

How well did I do with my speech?

My speech topic was about we should have a tuck shop at school.

My voice was loud and clear.

I stood still.

The hardest part of speeches was standing in front of the whole class.

I am proud of myself because I got my speech over and done with.

Next time I will try and have more eye contact.

I got chosen to go into the school speech finals, I was really happy but at the same time I was nervous.
