Netbook Reflection

Hi my name is Leenas Fotu-Moala and I go to Panmure Bridge School. I am a year 5 student in room 7. I really enjoy having a Netbook because I can find more information from websites. I can also work faster on my Netbook. Another thing I really enjoy about my Netbook is that I can make presentations about my topic, writing or maths. Sometimes my mouse for my Netbook doesn’t work so I have to restart my Netbook. I sometimes have to wait for my internet to load, it takes awhile for it to load. Something unusual about my Netbook is that I’m typing not writing. I really prefer to have a Netbook than writing on a book.

Early this morning Jack and Jill sadly got hurt.

Around about 7am Jack and Jill were having breakfast when their mother told them to go fetch a pail of water.  So Jack and Jill went up the hill to fetch a pail of water.  Jack fell down and sadly cracked his skull.  Shortly afterwards Jack saw Jill tumbling after him and she was badly injured  when she bashed into Jack.

While Jack and Jill were lying down injured and not being able to move. Their friends Peter and  Grace found them lying down injured and decided to  help Jack and Jill get treatment for their injuries.  

Jack and Jill's father and mother were shocked to see Jack and Jill hurt. Jack and Jill's mother put them in their beds with vinegar and brown paper to bound their heads. We all hope they get well.

My Holidays

Yellow Hat The best part of my holiday was: When my Nana took my cousins and I to have McDonalds and she took us shopping at Sylvia Park. We had lots of fun. We went to have KFC that was really nice especially the chicken, yummy.	*
Black Hat During the holidays I didn’t like it when: My other Nana past away and everyone was crying out loud and it made me cry. But my Nana is living in a better place where she can rest. She is gone but never forgotten. R.I.P	*
Green Hat Next holidays I would like to: Go Ice Skating with my whole family and have a nice big feed that would be awesome. i would like to go and see my cousins in Blenheim because i miss them so much especially Louisa and Phili.	*

Smurfs

The  Smurfs is one of my favourite movies. The best part of this  movie is when the Smurfs  all work  together to destroy the evil  man Gargamel. He is very evil and  when he plans to do something to the Smurfs it never works because the Smurfs always manage to stay alive . The part that I didn’t like  was when Gargamel  had  the Smurfs papa. His name was Papa Smurf. Gargamel put Papa Smurf in his own machine and it sucked power out of his body and the machine was putting onions in his body and luckily Smurfette was there to save him then I was happy. The sad part of this movie was when the Smurfs had to leave New York city and return to their own city.

My favourite cartoon, Shrek

  Shrek is my favourite cartoon. My favourite part in Shrek part 2 is when Puss in Boots
  takes off his hat and does a very cute baby cat face.  His eyes were wide and green and his fur was curled  .His toes was also curled and his face was sooo  cute and it made the soldiers stop and say what a cutie but then BANG, BOOM he hit their faces and they fell down that's when Puts in Boots saved Viona turning into a frog but he didn't have to save her because Vionas dad jumped in and got hit from the spell and it turned him into a frog and they all cried that was sad. The  part I didn't like was when the witches took  Shrek away and put him in a small cage and the witches cast a spell and it changed the world . I was so angry that I felt like hitting those ugly and horrible  witches. Ever since the witches cast that  spell making the world change and Shrek never having a  family. His wife was a warrior, she never knew that she was married to Shrek until something magical happened. Shrek kissed her and then the spell broke . That's when she started to remember everything and then they lived happily ever after. The End

Look how far our planes went. The champion is plane L.  It flew 8 metres.

In the weekends.

In the weekends I went to my Grandmas  house and we went to take my aunty to the warehouse to buy my cousins shoes.  I went to buy my shoes as well.  There was lots of people at the warehouse.  When we entered there was lots of amazing stuff.  Next we went to the shoe side there was lots of shoes.  We went to get my shoes first.  There was so many cool shoes.  I got these black leather shoes and they look so cool.  I bought 2 cool shoes.  After that we went to take my cousins to get their  shoes.  They got these Pink,Purple,Blue and Black shoes.  After that we went to have a ice cream we got chocolate ice cream and it was so delicious.  Then we went home and we had hotdogs for lunch.  After that we ate chocolates and skitles that was so yummy.  Soon it was time to go home so we went home and i went straight to the computer and played games. That was a fun day.

Tri Kids day

On Wednesday,Thursday and Friday the whole school had different times practising with the tri kids people.  The first time we went was after morning tea.  The things we did was swim bike and run.  First we had to do two freestyles I was not that fast but I tried my best.  After that we had to hop out and start to running I was fast,Then I went to put my helmet on and I was a bit slow but I had fun I came second out of the girls.  Then finally it was Friday I was so excited.  Then the race started every one started to cheer for the people they were loud.  After that it was room seven girls turn but instead of swimming we had a water slide it was soupy.  I came second out of the girls and Kyra was the first girl for the practise and  people were cheering for me they were saying go leenas go leenas and i was happy.  Next it was the semi finals I was a bit nervous but at the same time I was excited.  When they called Room7 I was happy. Then we started I quickly ran to the water slide.  We had to do 4 laps on the water slid then i ran to get my helmet on I put it on the wrong way but I didn't care so I started to ride. I was coming first out of the girls i kept on looking forward and all the girls were at the back of me and I was happy then I took off my helmet and started to run i was running my fastest but I slowed down because I thought that i was coming last but everyone said run Leenas run so I did and I came first I was  so tired and happy.  That was the best time i’ve ever had at school.

How to make ANZAC Biscits

Anzac Biscuits

Ingredients:

1/4 tsp of salt
1 cup of all-purpose flour
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of unsweetened desiccated coconut
1 cup of rolled oats
1 Tbsp of golden syrup
1 tsp of baking soda

Preparation

1. Stir the flour, sugar, rolled oats, and coconut in a big  bowl.

2. Get an adult to help you melt the butter and the yummy golden syrup in a  small pan over about a low heat.

3. Put the baking soda in a cup. Ask an adult to help you add the boiling water. The mixture that you just have made will foam up. Add this mixture of butter and golden syrup.

4. Pour the liquid mixture into the flour and other dry ingredients. Now stir.

5. Grease a baking tray. Put tablespoonfuls of the mixture onto tray, about 4 centimetres apart.

6. Bake at 180°C for about 15 minutes or until the biscuits are golden colour.

My Great Grandmother's Funeral

On Tuesday I went to my Papa’s Mums funeral.  We had to go to the Papatoetoe  Cemetery.  Once  we entered we went to the chapel and near that place there was church.  We went in the church.  We had to sit next to the coffin.  It was scary.   After that the man said a Samoan speech.  It took awhile.   Next was my papas brothers turn to say a speech.  Next I said a speech I was shy to say it.  After that we sang a song.  We sang a few songs.  Then we went to take the coffin to its spot.  Finally we were at the spot.  The hole was 6 feet down and it was long.   After that we sang another song.   Everyone was crying loud.  Next all the brothers put the coffin in the ground and all the sisters were crying.   After that I went to see my Grandpa but just to let you know he’s dead. I was singing songs to him.  I started to cry.   Next we went to Valentines. Once we entered  there was food everywhere, yummy food.   There was chicken,beef,potatoes,steak and fish.  For desert there was chocolate,cake,ice cream,fudge cakes,coconuts and fruit salad there was yummy food.  That was the best feed ever.
